FRANCES L. MAIER

Miss Frances L. Maier, age 92, a resident of Shady Lane Home, Manitowoc, and
formerly of 1409A South 14th street, Manitowoc, died Tuesday, March 24, 1992,
at Shady Lane Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at First German Evangelical
Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Revs. Arno Wolfgramm and Bruce Bitter will officiate
with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
She was born February 1, 1900 in Manitowoc, Wis., daughter of the late Frank and
Mathilda Walter Maier. She attended the local public schools and graduated from
Manitowoc High School in 1917. Shortly after graduation she was employed as a
legal secretary for 50 years with the law firm of Healy and Joyce, and later
with the Dewane Law Firm until her retirement in 1967. She was a member of First
German Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she was confirmed in 1916. She also was
a member of the church's Ladies Aide and Ladies Choir, a charter member of the
Manitowoc-Two Rivers Business and Professional Womens Club, a life member of
Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and Manitowoc County Historical Society, a member
of the Manitowoc Chapter of A.A.R.P., Manitowoc Senior Citizens and Manitowoc
Maritime Museum.
Survivors include several cousins and close friends.
Friends may call at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church on Friday from 10 a.m.
until the time of services. Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, Manitowoc assisted the
family with funeral arrangements.
