CHESTER B. MARSHALL

Chester B. Marshall, 76, of Shady Lane Home, formerly of 1510 Waldo Blvd.,
Manitowoc, died late Wednesday evening at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral
Home and 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Donald
Schneider will officiate with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Marshall was born Feb. 18, 1900, at Midland, Mich., son of the late Thomas
and Rose Costello Marshall. He was reared in Mackinaw City, Mich., and moved
to Manitowoc in 1936, where he was a lighthouse keeper for 30 years, retiring
in 1966. He married Mary Ellen Beneteaux Oct. 17, 1930, at Mackinaw City. He
was a member of Sacred Heart Church and Manitowoc Braille Club.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Richard L. (Mary Ellen) Schliesleder and
Mrs. Duane T. (Margaret C.) Greicar, of Manitowoc; two sisters, Mrs. John
(Hazel) Howard of Muskegon, Mich., and Mrs. Ethel Robinson, of Cheboygan, Mich.,
and seven grandchildren.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday,
where a parish prayer service will be at 8 p.m.

Chester Bernard Marshall was born at Saint Helene Island Lighthouse in 1900. When his mother, Rose nee Costello Marshall, died in 1907 at the age of 37 years, he was taken care of by his relatives in Midland, Michigan. Chester was the son of Charles (not Thomas) Marshall and Rose nee Costello Marshall. His wife's last name was"Beneteau" not Beneteaux. --- This information was provided to me by several persons including his daughter, Margaret nee Marshall Greicar. I hope this helps. Sincerely,
