Miss Elsie E. Marten, 74, of 1326 S. 13th St., Manitowoc, died unexpectedly Thursday, June 14, at her residence.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Calvary Assembly of God Church, Manitowoc. Rev. Steven D. Miles will officiate and burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Miss Marten was born Sept. 28, 1909, at Chicago, Illinois, daughter of the late Paul and Emma Bugs Marten Sr. She was employed at the former Aluminum Specialty Company, Manitowoc, until her retirement in 1976. Miss Marten was a charter member of Calvary Assembly of God Church, church treasurer for 26 years, a Sunday school supervisor for many years and she was also active in the Womens Ministry of the church.
Survivors include a special cousin, Mr. Lucy Schoknecht of Manitowoc and niece and nephew. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Alfred, Fred and Paul Jr.
Friends may call at Calvary Assembly of God Church, Manitowoc, after 11 a.m. Saturday morning. There will be no Friday evening visitation at the funeral home. Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
