Albin Martinson, age 81, of 1231 S. 8th St., Manitowoc died early Tuesday
morning, August 24, 1999, at the family residence.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 26, 1999, at Sacred
Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated
by Rev. William Zimmer, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
He was born November 11, 1917, in Odanah, Wis., son of the late John and Hilma
Anderson Martinson. He attended Ashland High School. Albin had been employed with
Fisher Hamilton Industries in Two Rivers and later with The Manitowoc Company,
from where he retired in 1981. He married Margaret Boheim, on June 23, 1942, in
Ashland, Wis. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Manitowoc
Senior Center.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Martinson; two sons and one daughter-in-law,
Jerry and Mary Martinson, Waukesha, John Martinson, Beaver Dam; two daughters and
sons-in-law, Rosemary and Al Jaecks, Manitowoc, Carol and Rob Albrecht, West Allis;
nine grandchildren, Dave, Jamie and Kari Martinson, Jeremy Martinson, Chris (Kristin)
Jaecks, Jenni & Ryan Jaecks, Alyssa, Cassie Albrecht; one sister, Alma Bloomquist,
Ashland; nieces, nephews, along with other relatives and friends also survive. He
was preceded in death by an infant son, David; one brother and three sisters.
Friends may call at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Thursday, August 26, 1999, from
10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.
The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
