Miss Johanna A. Mayer, 84, of 1208 Green St., Manitowoc, died unexpectedly Monday evening, May 16, at her home.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Wesley United Methodist Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Robert B. Hays will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Miss Mayer was born Aug. 26, 1898, at Manitowoc, daughter of the late John and Johanna Buerstatte Mayer. She grew up in Manitowoc, was educated in Manitowoc schools and lived here all her life. For many years she had been employed at Manitowoc Cold Storage Company, retiring in 1972. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and Ladies Guild of the church.
Survivors include nieces and nephews. Seven sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Pfeffer and Reinbold Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday until 11 a.m. Friday and at the chruch from noon until the time of service. Memorials would be appreciated to Wesley United Methodist Church.
