ELIZABETH MCCULLY

Mrs. Elizabeth McCulley (sic), 90, of 415 N. Fifth St., Manitowoc, died Sunday
morning at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc. She had been in ill health for an
extended period.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Mittnacht Funeral Home, Manitowoc,
and at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The Rev. D. L. Krembs will
officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
The former Elizabeth Meany, daughter of the late Patrick and Bridget Green Meany,
was born Oct. 14, 1866, on a farm in the Town of Cato. She attended Grimms School
and later returned as a teacher. Mrs. McCulley also taught at Kellnersville.
She was married to Peter J. McCulley at Maple Grove in 1909? and the couple
resided several years in the Town of Cato before moving to Manitowoc. Mr. McCulley
died in 1919. Mrs. McCulley was a member of the Rosary Society of the church and
was a charter member and past president of the Catholic Women’s Club.
Surviving her are a sister, Mrs. Nellie Cooney of Chicago, a foster daughter, Mrs.
Michael Kellner of Milwaukee and a number of nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the funeral home where both societies will recite the Rosary
at 8 o’clock this Monday evening.
