JOHN MCDONNELL

Mr. John E. Mc Donnell, 96, formerly of 435 N. 7th St., Manitowoc, died Friday morning, August 26, at Park Lawn Home, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 11:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitoowoc (sic). The Rev. William Zimmer will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Mc Donnell was born Feb. 19. 1887, in the town of Brillion, Calumet County, son of the late John and Anna Driscoll Mc Donnell. He married the former Ida Backhausen on June 6, 1911, at Brillion. After marriage the couple farmed in the town of Brillion until 1918 when they moved to Manitowoc. Mr. Mc Donnell owned and operated a dairy in Manitowoc and later had been employed by other Manitowoc dairies retiring in 1962. He was also a 50 years member of Eagles Aerie No. 706. Mrs. Mc Donnell preceded him in death on March 2, 1968.
Survivors include five sons and daughters-in-law, Arnold and Jean Mc Donnell of Manitowoc, L. Patrick and Delphine Mc Donnell of Canaga Park, Calif., Earl and Viola Mc Donnell, Harold and Frances Mc Donnell and James and Nancy Mc Donnell all of Manitowoc. A daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Earl Lettenberger of rural Manitowoc; a sister, Myrtle Ansorge of Manitowoc; a sister-in-law, Mary Heinzen of Kaukauna, 13 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Peter and Kenneth; five sisters and one brother.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday. A prayer service will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday evening.
