KENNETH MCDONNELL

Kenneth W. McDonnell, 60, a native of Manitowoc, currently a resident of Rockland,
Wis., died Sunday afternoon, March 13, at Toma Veterans Medical Center, Toma,
Wis.
Private family funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home,
Manitowoc. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. A memorial Mass will
be scheduled at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc, and will be announced
at a later date.
Mr. McDonnell was born Nov. 13, 1922, at Manitowoc, son of John McDonnell and the
late Ida Backhausen McDonnell. He attended Sacred Heart Parochial School and was
a graduate of Lincoln High School with the Class of 1942. He was a veteran of
World War II, serving in the United States Army from Dec. 29, 1942 to Feb. 6, 1946,
overseas in the European Theater and was awarded two bronze battle stars. He was a
member of Bangor American Legion Post.
Survivors include his father, John McDonnell of Manitowoc; five brothers and sisters-
in-law, Arnold and Jean McDonnell of Manitowoc, L. Patrick and Delphine McDonnell of
Canogo Park, Calif., Earl and Vila McDonnell, Harold and Frances McDonnell and James
and Nancy McDonnell of Manitowoc, and a sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Earl
Lettenberger of rural Manitowoc. He was preceded in death by a brother, Peter.
There will be no Monday evening visitation at the funeral home.
