PATRICK EARL MCDONNELL

Patrick E. McDonnell Patrick E. McDonnell, age 53, a resident of the Clement J.
Zablocki VA Medical Center, Milwaukee, died Friday morning, Nov. 24, 2006 from
complications of Multiple Sclerosis.
Pat was born on May 22, 1953, in Manitowoc, son of Earl J. McDonnell and the
late Viola Hein McDonnell. Pat graduated from Manitowoc Lincoln High School with
the class of 1972. Then Pat graduated from the University of Southern Colorado,
in Pueblo, CO on May 16, 1992, with a bachelor's degree in Social Work, BSW. He
served two tours of duty in the U.S. Army from 1979 to 1981 and again from 1982
to 1986. Pat worked in the health care industry and loved traveling and living
in different parts of the world. While visiting in Ireland on several occasions,
he even bicycled across the country. With his zest for life, he enjoyed meeting
people and exploring new locations. He was an avid bicyclist, and camper.
Survivors include his father: Earl McDonnell, Manitowoc; two sisters and brothers-
in-law: Nancy and Steve Check, Fox Point, Wis., Sue and Michael Ruminski, West
Bend; one niece: Jennifer (Bob) Siepler, Oak Creek; great-nieces and nephews: Lucy,
Stevie and Nate Siepler; uncles: Arnold (Jean) McDonnell, Manitowoc, Patrick
McDonnell, California, Harold (Frances) McDonnell, Manitowoc, James (Nancy) McDonnell,
Manitowoc; aunts: Mary (Earl) Lettenberger, Port Washington; Eleanore Hein, Manitowoc.
Other relatives, cousins and friends also survive. Pat was also preceded in death
by his mother, Viola, in 1999, four uncles and two aunts: Kenny and Peter McDonnell,
Leo Hein, Albert and Jean Hein, and Del McDonnell.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 9:30 until 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28,
2006, at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on
Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2006, at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo. Officiating at the Mass
of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Dave Hoffman with burial to follow at Evergreen
Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The family wishes to thank the entire staff at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical
Center for the compassion and care given to Pat.
