ROBERT D. MELVILLE

Robert Melville, 32, former Manitowoc resident, died Monday morning at the
Memorial Hospital in Manitowoc where he had been a patient for the past week
following surgery.
Funeral services will be announced Tuesday by the Pfeffer Funeral Home of
Manitowoc.
Mr. Melville was born Jan. 16, 1924, in Manitowoc, son of the late James and
Edith Franklin Melville. He attended Manitowoc grade schools and Lincoln High
School until his enlistment in the Navy in 1942. He served as a gunner on a
torpedo plane off an aircraft carrier for three years.
He married the former Virginia Ziarnik of Manitowoc, March 11, 1949?, and the
couple moved to Rt. 1. Algoma, where he was employed as a cashier for the
Wisconsin Public Service Corp.
Survivors include his wife, two daughters, Jeanne Marie and Nancy Ann at home;
a son, James Pater, at home; his mother, Mrs. Raymond Orton; and two sisters,
Mrs. Robert Neuser and Mrs. Richard Gauthier, both of Manitowoc.
