HEART ATTACK BRINGS DEATH TO MRS. MLADA
Mrs. Mary Mlada, life long resident of this city, died this morning at 4
o’clock at her home at 612 Chicago street, her demise being due to a heart
attack. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon from the home of her
son, Dr. A. J. Shimek and Burial will be at Evergreen. The funeral is being
delayed to permit a daughter, Mrs. Emil Cizek, to arrive from California.
Mrs. Mlada, nee Cizek, was born in this city September 25, 1862 and was sixty-
one years of age. She attended the local schools and was married to Mr. Shimek
who died a few years later. Thirty-five years ago she was married to Joseph
Mlada, whose tragic death in an explosion at the dynamite storage house at the
old Klingholz farm twelve years ago, July 19, 1912, again made her a widow. Mr.
Mlada for many years conducted a store here and was manager of the old Manitowoc
Co-Operative company. Mrs. Mlada has continued her residence here at the family
home, 612 Chicago street. She is survived by four children, two sons, Dr. A. J.
Shimek and Erwin Mlada, both of this city and two daughters, Mrs. Emil Cizek of
California and Belle of this city.
