ILL ONLY WEEK, DEATH CLAIMS P. PANKHOFF(sic)
An acute attack of appendicitis the effects of which could not be forstalled
even by an operation which was performed, claimed Paul Pankhopf(sic), 1801
South Tenth street, at the hospital. Mr. Pankhopf had been ill only a week and
underwent an operation Saturday. The body is at the Wattawa undertaking parlors,
where friends may view it tomorrow and from 7 to 9 tomorrow evening. Funeral
services will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 from the undertaking parlors
to the Reformed church, where services will be held at 2.
Mr. Pankhopf is survived by his wife, two daughters, Evelyn and Clara, and a
son, Paul, Jr., of Chicago, a brother, Herman, of Hollywood, Calif., and a
sister, Miss Ida Pankhopf of Milwaukee.
Deceased was born in Milwaukee, July 10, 1872, having been 54 years of age at
the time of death, and has been a resident of this city since his marriage to
Miss Emma Pelishek on February 26, twenty years ago. He was employed by the
Manitowoc Shipbuilding Corp. for the last eight years. Mr. Pankhopf was an
active member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in the city.
