by her loving family.
She was born on Aug. 21, 1927, in Bertha, Minn., daughter of the late William
and Mayme (Hukriede) Ehnes. Viola was a graduate of Eagle Bend High School,
Minn., class of 1946.
On May 5, 1951, she married Don Pearson in St. Paul, Minn. Prior to her marriage,
Viola was employed with the state of Minnesota at the State Capitol in St.
Paul.
Survivors include her husband; Don, Newton; six children and their spouses:
James Pearson, Newton, Bonnie and Brad Schultz, Manitowoc, Lori Pearson, Manitowoc, Colleen and Robert Denk, Cato, Wayne Pearson, Cato, and his special friend, Jamie Schnell, Lyndon and Ann Pearson, Manitowoc; nine grandchldren: Lacey Schultz, Weston, Allissa and Kaylee Denk, Travis, Levi and Brian Pearson, Stacie and Dayna Pearson; a sister: Violet Zaier, Arden Hills, Minn.; and three sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law: Dorothy Kirsebom, Burnsville, Minn., Helen and Kenneth Drangstveit, Burnsville, Minn., and Charolette Pearson, Medford, Wis. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by a daughter-in-law: Laurie Pearson and three brothers-in-law: George Zaier, Frank Kirsebom and Robert Pearson.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 24, 2010, at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Service will be the Rev. Thomas Panko with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc, from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 23, 2010. Friends may also call Saturday morning at the church from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
The family wishes to thank Shady Lane Nursing Care Center; Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Newton First Responders and all the doctors and nurses who provided for the compassionate care given to our mother and all who paid a visit, sent a card, called or kept her in their prayers.
Viola took joy in the simple pleasure of life. Her faith and family always came first. Viola was a loving mother and friend to all. The world has been a better place because of her; and she will be sadly missed and never forgotten by all who new and loved her.
