Mrs. G. Rolf Ristad, 59, of 718 N. water St., Manitowoc, died Thursday
evening at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc, following a lengthy illness.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church,
Manitowoc. The Rev. Gervase Zanotti will officiate and burial will be in
Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The former Helen Schuette was born July 30, 1907, at Manitowoc, daughter
of the late Louis and Clara Schmidt Schuette. She attended Lincoln High
School, Manitowoc, and was graduated from the University of Wisconsin,
Madison, in 1929.
She was married to G. Rolf Ristad March 29, 1930, at Manitowoc. Her late
husband was president of East Wisconsin trustee Co. He preceded her in
death in 1954. Mrs. Ristad was a member of Alpha Xi Delta Sorority,
Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, the Clip Club and P.E.O.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. William Puchner, of Elm Grove and
Mrs. Edward H. Carbon, of Fort Atkinson; a brother, John A., and two
sisters, Mrs. Orval Breuer and Mrs. William Vinton, of Manitowoc and two
grandchildren.
Friends may call at Mittnacht Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 6 o'clock until
9 o'clock this Friday evening. The casket will remain closed.
Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, Memorial Hospital or the
American Cancer Society.
