Mrs. Clarence Rosso, 54, of Rt. 1, Maribel, a Town of Gibson resident, died
Sunday night at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, following a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Melnik Presbyterian Church.
The Rev. Sherwood Roach will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery,
Manitowoc.
Mrs. Rosso, the former Anna Josephine Hoffman, was born at Tisch Mills March 20,
1902, daughter of the late Joseph and Magdalena Peterik Hoffman. She was married
Oct. 30, 1934, and the couple lived at Manitowoc 10 years before moving to the
Hoffman homestead farm. She was a graduate of Old Washington High School and
Manitowoc County Normal School, Manitowoc, and taught school for a short time.
She was a member of the Martha Society of that church.
Surviving her are the husband, a daughter, Sherry of Milwaukee; and seven
sisters, Mrs. Marvin Meyer, Mrs. John Pribek and Mrs. Joseph Bauer of Manitowoc,
Mrs. George Stromberg and Miss Marie Hoffman of Milwaukee, Mrs. Edward Selner
of Kenosha and Mrs. Frank Peroutka of Francis Creek. A brother, Joseph, was
killed in World War I.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after 2 p.m.
Tuesday until 10 a.m. Wednesday when the casket will be moved to the church
where the body will lie in state until the hour of service.
