Joseph Stastny, 84, former county resident, died Thursday at Evanston, Wyo.
He was born near Francis Creek in 1866 and when a young man assisted his
father in the operation of Stastnys, Francis Creek. At the age of 22 years
he moved to Wyoming to take up ranching. In the last war he was engaged in
defense work in California. In 1890 he married Miss Mary Vochal. She died
in 1946.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Joseph Musil of Manitowoc; son John of Richland,
Wash.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Mittnacht funeral home,
Manitowoc. Dr. C. H. Phipps will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen
cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Tuesday.
