Mrs. Anton J. (Anne) Steeber, of 1620 Reed Ave., Manitowoc, died unexpectedly, Monday, Oct. 10, at home.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Urbanek and Schlei Pfeffer and Reinbold Funeral Home and 11 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by her great-nephew, Rev. James P. Massart and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Steeber was born at Manitowoc, daughter of the late Anton and Mathilda Andrastek Wergin. She grew up and was educated at Manitowoc. Mrs. Steeber was employed for 17 years at Aluminum Specialty Company. She was married to Roland H. Drumm, Sept. 13, 1926, at Waukegan, Ill., he preceded her in death Aug. 31, 1955. She then was married to Anton J. Steeber, April 12, 1958, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Mrs. Steeber was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and St. Mary Rosary and Altar Society and a former member of the Manitowoc Garden Club.
Survivors include her husband, Anton, sons and daughters include, Corrine and Donald J. Strazer of Waukegan, Ill., Roland J. and Joan Drumm of Manitowoc and Faye and Donald W. Emley of Pittsville, Wis.; two brothers and a sister-in-law, John and Louise Wergin of Casco and Anton (Murphy) Wergin of Manitowoc; three sisters, Mrs. Esther Neff, Mrs. Catherine Schaefer and Mrs. Lucille Hendries all of Manitowoc; six grandchildren, three great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Pfeffer and Reinbold Funeral Home, 4 o'clock to 9 o'clock this Wednesday afternoon, where a prayer service will be at 7:30 o'clock Wednesday evening by Rev. James Massart.
