Stricken Shortly After Hunting
David A. Stewart, Manitowoc, Dies
David A. Stewart 56, of 1806? Washington St., Manitowoc, died unexpectedly
Sunday afternoon while visiting at the Albert Braatz farm home in the Town
of Eaton. Death was attributed to a heart attack.
Mr. Stewart had been hunting on the Braatz farm Sunday morning. He had
returned to Manitowoc to change clothes and then driven back to the Braatz
home.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Urbanek and Schlei
Funeral Home, with the Rev. Gervase Zanotti officiating. Burial will be at
Evergreen Cemetery.
He was born Feb. 13, 1899 in the Town of Liberty, the son of the late Mr.
and Mrs. James A. Stewart. He married Hilda Kiesow in Manitowoc June 16,
1920. They operated the family farm in the Town of Liberty two years and
then moved to Manitowoc where he was employed as a plate shop operator at
Manitowoc Shipbuilding, Inc. He was a member of Local 443 of the union at
Manitowoc Shipbuilding.
Survivors are the widow and five sisters, Mrs. George Gold__, Manitowoc, Mrs.
Edward Swanson, Usala, Minn.; Mrs. Edward Hetzell, Alma, Wis.; Mr. Albert
Hetzell, Tomahawk, Wis., and Mrs. Arnold Swensen, Sheboygan.
Friends may call at the Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home from 4 p.m. Tuesday
until the time of services.
