LOUIS STRADAL
Louis Stradal, 83, of 1614 Hamilton St., Manitowoc, died Tuesday evening,
October 21, at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Friday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc.
The Rev. Gerald Schrankler will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen
Cemetery, Manitowoc. Military rites will be accorded Mr. Stradal at the
graveside by American Legion Drews-Bleser Post No. 88.
Mr. Staradal was born June 3, 1897, in the Town of Kossuth, son of the late
Peter J. and Katherina Dufek Stradal. He was a lifelong Manitowoc County
resident and married Alma Havlichek Oct. 27, 1920, at Manitowoc. They owned
and operated a farm at Branch until 1943 when they moved to Manitowoc. Mr.
Stradal was then employed with Invincible Company, the V.J. Kerscher Company
and F.C. Heiden Company, retiring in 1962. The couple would have celebrated
their 60th year of marriage October 27th. He was a veteran of Wold War I and
a member of Teamsters Local and American Legion Drews-Bleser Post No. 88.
Survivors include his wife, Alma, two daughters and sons-in-law, Delores and
Chester Deubler and Elaine and Lester Deubler of Manitowoc; two grandsons,
two grandaughers and a great grandson (private). A brother, Florian, and a
sister, Clara Lakatos, preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday. Memorials
may be made to St. John United Church of Christ.
