MINNIE STRODTHOFF

Mrs. Herman Strodthoff, 83, of 703 Hancock St., Manitowoc, last survivor of
a family of 14 children, died Thursday morning at the home following a lingering
illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First German Evangelical
Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. L. H. Koeninger will officiate and burial
will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
She was born Minnie Vogelsang in Manitowoc Rapids in 1869 and in 1894 was married
to Herman Strodthoff. They located in Newton where her husband operated a cheese
factory and creamery. Forty-eight years ago they moved to a farm in Manitowoc
Rapids. Her husband died 14 years ago and a year later she moved to Manitowoc.
Surviving are a son, Erwin of Manitowoc; and three grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc after 3 p.m.
Friday. The casket will be moved to the church at 10 a.m. Saturday.
