EMMA CHASENSKY SWETLIK

Mrs. Frank Swetlik, 71, of 1701 Washington St., Manitowoc, died unexpectedly
Thursday morning at her home.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home,
and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Very Rev. Clement P.
Kern will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The former Emma Wattawa was born Jan. 3, 1897, in the Town of Kossuth, Manitowoc
County, daughter of the late Matt and Anna Nemetz Wattawa. She was married in 1917
to Joseph Chasensky who died in 1922. She was married in 1925 to Frank Swetlik at
Kellnersville. The couple farmed in that area until 1944, moving to Manitowoc.
She was a member of the Christian Mothers society at St. Paul Church.
She is survived by a son, Ray Chasensky of Newton; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Ann
Bartuska and Mrs. Milton (Elaine) Ladwig of Manitowoc; a step-daughter, Mrs. John
(Marcella) Lemberger of Cato; two brothers, John of Lakewood and Frank of Milwaukee;
two sisters, Mrs. Leo Zarnik of Manitowoc and Mrs. Anna Wanish of Maribel; 16
grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Her husband and a step-son preceded
her in death.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home where at 7 p.m. the
Rosary will be recited.
