CLARENCE JOSEPH ZIPPERER

Clarence G. Zipperer, 54, of 1915 County Trunk B, Manitowoc, died Monday evening, July 27, at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated by the Rev. Leo J. Schmitt and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Zipperer was born March 22, 1927, in Manitowoc County, son of the late Louis J. and Elizabeth Meidl Zipperer. He grew up in rural Whitelaw and was educated at St. Michael Catholic School, Whitelaw. He served with the United States Army overseas during the Korean Conflict from November, 1950 to October, 1952. He moved to Manitowoc in 1955 and married Donna Kiel Oct. 22, 1955, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Kellnersville. Mr. Zipperer had been employed with Bahr Cosntruction Company the past 25 years. He was a member of Holy Innocents Catholic Church and Operators Engineers Union Local 139.
Survivors include his wife, Donna; four sons and a daughter-in-law, Glenn and Thomas Zipperer at home, Dale and Donna Zipperer of Route 1, Whitelaw, and Gary Zipperer of Manitowoc; three daughters and a son-in-law, Vickie and William O'Conner of Manitowoc and Joy and Cindy Zipperer at home; a granddaughter, Kristin O'Connor; four brothers, Norbert and Arthur Zipperer of Route 1, Cato, LeRoy Zipperer of Whitelaw and Jerome Zipperer of Manitwoc; five sisters, Mrs. Ed (Margaret) Kohlmann, Miss Clara Zipperer and Mrs. Helmar (Loretta) Franzen of Manitowoc, Mrs. John (Arlene) Kocourek of Reedsville and Mrs. LeRoy (Janet) Remaker of Two Rivers; a sister-in-law, Rose Zipperer of Loveland, Colo., his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Kiel of Route 1, Cato, neices, nephews and cousins. A brother, Raymond, preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday. A prayer service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. by Deacon Donald Gigure.
