ARMSTRONG, Robert Goodfellow - At his late residence Markham, on Tuesday March 27, 1945, Robert Goodfellow Armstrong, husband of the late Elizabeth Collard in his 93rd year.
Resting at the Funeral Home of R. G. Glendenning Markham. Funeral service on Friday, March 30, 3:30 p.m. Interment St. Andrew's Cemetery, Markham.

B. Armstrong Dies
Was Pioneer's Son

Robert G. Armstrong, aged 92, died at his farm home in Markham township following an illness of two weeks. He was a lifelong resident of the district.
He was the son of the late William Armstrong, a pioneer settler who came from England in 1824 and cleared the land, the site of the Armstrong homestead. He was a member of the Anglican Church.
Surviving him are three sons, George in Alberta, William in British Columbia and John of Markham. Two daughters, Mrs. R. S. McLaughlin of Alberta and Mrs. H. G. Nighswander of Markham also survive.
