Hester Ann Tracey, 86, widow of Peter G. Tracey, near Smithsburg, died Tuesday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Beulah McAfee, York, Pa., where she was spending the Christmas holidays. She was the daughter of the late William and Diana Manahan Smith, and a member of the Bethel Church, Garfield. She is survived by daughters, Mrs. Henry Smith, Lantz; Mrs. Beulah McAfee, York; sons, Anson Kendall, Foxville; Raymond Kendall, Springfield, and Clyde Kendall, Lantz; one brother, Alfred Smith, Smithsburg; 32 grandchildren and several great-grandchidren.
The body was removed to the Creager Funeral Home in Thurmont, it will then be taken to the Garfield Methodist Church where services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday. Interment in the adjoining cemetery.
