C B Deeds, one of the well known citizens of this county, residing at Jumping Branch, died on Sunday night, aged 84 years, his death being largely due to the infirmities of his advanced age.
The remains were laid to rest yesterday afternoon, near that place, the funeral services being conducted by Rev McLaughlin. A large number attended the funeral.
Mr Deeds had been engaged in the mercantile business for many years, and was well-known by a large circle of acquaintances. He is survived by a wife and two daughters, Mrs Alshire and Mrs S F Meador.
