Jimmy Wayne Abbott of Merced passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at the age of 53.
Jim had his AA degree in Automotive. He last worked for Hilmar Cheese factory as a Vat operator for twenty-one years.
He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, and going up to the mountains. He loved riding, working on, and the sound of his cars. For him the bigger and louder they were the better. He loved spending time with family and friends. He loved us and he is loved by all that knew him.
Jim was preceded in death by his mother, Juanita Abbott; grandmother, Opal Abbott; and mother-in-law, Kathy Kreischer.
He is survived by his soul mate, Katharine M. Abbott (Kreischer); father and stepmother, Billy and Doris Abbott of Winton; son, Robert L. Abbott of Sacramento; daughters, Matilda C. Cuzzetto of Colorado, Katie L. Kreischer-Bowden, and Leslie M. Bowden of Clovis; brothers, John L. Abbott, David P. Abbott of Winton, and Clayton U. Brandt of Indiana; sister, Dalia A. Cooley of Washington; and father-in-law, Robert D. Kreischer of Michigan.
Visitation will be at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home, 1490 B Street, Merced, California on Monday, August 13, 2012 from 2:00pm-6:00pm with funeral services to follow at 6:00pm-7:00pm.
Burial will be at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, 32053 West McCabe Road, Santa Nella, California 95322 on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at 1:30pm with Military Honors.
