Concetta was born on Feb 10, 1877 in Pennapiedimonte, Chieti, Italy. She was the eldest child of Dominico DeVincentiis (Jul 11, 1847 - Apr 26, 1931) and Maria DiGiorgio DeVincentiis (1849? - Sept 11, 1925). Concetta had two younger siblings:

* Giovanni DeVincentis (1880 - 1971)
* Carmella DeVincentis Valerio (1882 - 19__)

On Aug 24, 1901 Concetta married Giovanni (John) Mangini (1875 - 1948). They had eight children:

* Giuseppe Mangini (b/d. 1902)
* Stella Mangin DiPlacido (1901 - 1975) [ADAPTED]
* Nunzio Mangin (1905 - 1975)
* Rose Mangin Akre (1912 - 1989)
* Mary Mangin Benacci (1913 - 2007)
* Ann Mangin Pillitteri (1914 - 1999)
* a daughter (still living)
* Joseph Mangin (1917 - 2002)

John and Concetta emigrated to the United States in 1911, settling in Erie, Pennsylvania, bringing Stella and Nunzio with them. They bought a home on the 1000 block of West 21st Street. Their younger children, beginning with Rose, were all born in Erie.

Shortly after their arrival in the United States, "Mangini" was anglicised to "Mangin."

Concetta was a kind and very religious woman. She attended daily Mass. She taught Italian to her children, who learned to say their prayers in Italian before they could say them in English.

Concetta was a homemaker to her husband and children. John died in 1948, and sometime afterward, she moved to Millcreek township to live with her youngest child, Joseph Mangin.

Concetta died Aug 8, 1959. The family headstone in Calvary Cemetery, where she is buried, bears the surname that she had when she entered the United States: "Mangini."
