Dorothy M. Morley, 91, of Abilene, died Tuesday, March 9, 1999, at Memorial Hospital in Abilene.
Mrs. Morley was born Dec. 3, 1907, at Liberty, Neb., the daughter of John L. and Emma (McBride) Vasey. She and her husband operated general merchandise stores in Industry until 1946, lived briefly in Loveland, Colo., and moved to Mountain Grove, Mo., where they lived until 1950. She moved to Abilene and worked at Memorial Hospital and provided home care in the commuity until she retired.
Mrs. Morley was a member of Emmanual Church in Abilene.
She married Charles Kiekel in 1930 and he preceded her in death in November 1967. She then married Howard Morley in 1970 and he preceded her in October 1996. She was also preceded by a daughter, two sisters and two brothers.
Survivors include two daughters, Betty Dedmon of Abilene and Ann Tapp and husband Jim, of Columbia, Mo., a stepson Leslie Morley, of Bartlet, Tenn,; a stepdaughter, Betty Spellman of Clay Center; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home in Abilene with the Revs. Kevin Williams and Lowell Thuma officiating. Burial will be in Abilene Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday and friends may call untill service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Emmanuel Building Fund.
