Linda Gay of Lancaster California has gone to be with our Lord. A devoted wife and mother she leaves her husband Leslie Gay of the family home, Three children, Tina Gay, Dale Gay, and Lisa Gay all of Lancaster. Three grandchildren, Heather DeVeckx, Brandon Deveckx, and Nathan Gay.
From Heather Lynn Deveckx:
I would like to tell you about a woman very dear to my heart as well as many others. She was a woman made with a heart of gold, a warm bright smile and loving arms. She was a wife, mother, grandma or like Nathan would say "Framma". She was a friend to many people, she was many other things to many different people as well. She was the kind of person who would be there for you if you needed or wanted something or if you just wanted someone to listen to you. She would always be there. This wonderful woman was my grandma, Linda Lee Gay.
As a little girl, I remember laying in my grandma's bed with her and watching her favorite show "Cops" or I would sit on the arm of her chair and lay on her and she would rub my back, play with my hair and tell me that she loved me. the next morning when I was awake she would be there, in her chair, reading the newspaper and when she saw me she would look up, smile and say good morning.
My grandma and I were always together. I looked up to her and admired her. She was my role model. We did everything together. As the years progressed we didn't spend as much time together as we used to but we always talked on the phone. When I was twelve, my grandma got into a car accident and became ill. I couldn't stand to see her like that so I became withdrawn but after that we became closer.
My grandma died on May 4, 2002. Now that she is gone I feel lost and like I have no one. She is the only one who ever really understood and knew me. I love my grandma with all my heart and soul. She will ever be in my thoughts and I will never forget her. I hope no one else will either. Now when I wake up I know she won't be there. She will never hold me in her arms again and tell me she loves me and I won't be able to call her up and talk to her.

Linda Lee Dean was adopted by Mildred Agnes Perkins and her first husband Carroll (Carl) Nusbaum. After Mildred and Carl divorced Mildred married Dr. Charles William Dean. and he also adopted Linda Lee Nusbaum who then became Linda Lee Dean. When she married Leslie Gay she changed her name again. Linda had a half brother, son of Charles Dean and his first wife.
