Eulah May Bartley Miller was born on April 3, 1903 in Missouri, the daughter of Hiram Britton "H B" Miller & Sarah "Ellen" Eaton.

Eulah was married on August 7, 1919 in Missoula Co, Montana to Harry Pete Thomas (1896–1955). When Harry registered for the Draft in 1918 in Missoula, he listed his residence as Charlo, Montana.

Eulah and Harry were divorced probably by 1925, since Eulah was married a 2nd time on July 30, 1925 in Davidson County, Tennessee, to David Franklin "Frank" Santi (1898-1929), the son of Swiss immigrant Florien Santi and his wife Mary (Richardson) Santi. After the death of her husband Frank, Eulah was in Montana for a time, living with her parents.

In the mid-1930s Eulah was associated with a man named Jay, & some family members recall him as "Uncle Jay."

Then on September 25, 1953 she was married to & later separated from Jack A Retherford: The marriage was performed by Charles Goodsell, JP in Spokane, Washington and was witnessed by her parents H B Miller and Sarah E Miller, residents of Greenacres, Washington.

On 13 Sep 1954 Eulah was murdered in her home at West 2133 Falls Ave, Spokane, Washington, across from Peaceful Valley on the Spokane River's north side. Charlie C Hanes, age 68, was charged with 1st degree murder the next day. He'd killed her with a shotgun after quarreling with her, then he wounded Ed E Olson, age 72, in the shoulder as he tried to flee the home. Almost immediately after that, Hanes shot himself in the head in an unsuccessful attempt to commit suicide.

Eulah was buried on 15 Sep 1954.
