Ms. Teresa Curtis Benson, age 60 of Dalton, Georgia passed away on Thursday evening, May 31, 2012 at her residence. Teresa was born on February 8, 1952 in Dalton. She was preceded in death by her parents; Floyd and Gladys Curtis; a son; Junior Goggins; a brother; Ronnie Curtis.
Teresa is survived by her daughter; Corina Goggins of Tunnel Hill, Georgia; sons and daughters-in-law; Nathan and Bonnie Carpenter of Dalton and Mikie and Misty Carpenter of Tunnel Hill, Georgia; brothers and a sister-in-law; Bo Curtis of Dalton and Dink and Teresa Curtis of Alaska. Numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Teresa Curtis Benson will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday, June 3, 2012 at the Chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Reverend Clayton Brown officiating. Interment will follow the funeral service at West Hill Cemetery in Dalton. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 until 9:00 pm on Saturday evening.
