Dorothy E. Davis, 90, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2012 at Provena Sacred Heart Home in Avilla. Born July 24, 1922 in Fort Wayne, Dorothy retired from Lincoln Life in 1986 after 20 years. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church and was a 1940 graduate of North Side High School. Surviving are her children; Robert (Virginia) Davis of Garrett, Donald Davis of Fort Wayne, Chuck Davis of San Jose, CA, Lucinda (Terry) Smith of Huntington, Carol (William) Reina of Canton, MI, Margaret (James, Jr.) Hart of Laotto, 13 grandchildren, 18 great grand children, and 5 great- great grand children. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents Lester and Amanda (Badiac) Hollopeter, daughter in law, Victoria Davis, grandson, Donald Davis Jr., 1 brother, 5 sisters, and former husband Herman Davis. The family will celebrate her life with a service 10 a.m. Monday, August 20, 2012 at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road with Rev. George Troyer, calling 1 hour prior. Calling also Sunday, August 19, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
