Louis Bertels of Beach Grove, died in Massillon City Hospital after a brief illness. He was employed by the Wheeling & Lake Erie Railway Company.
His son, LaVerne, was killed in Germany during WWII. He is survived by his widow, Mary Bertels; three daughters, Velma, Arleen and Lillian Bertels, all still at home; a brother, Joseph Bertels of Brewster; and a sister, Mrs. Mary (Roy) Baer of Sippo.
