Erick Hylander. a well and favorably
known resident of this village,
succumbed to tubercular peritonitis
at the Northwestern hospital early
Tuesday morning, September 8th.
Mr. Hylander had been ill about a
month, and his condition was criti-
cal from the start. The best of
medical care was secured, but to no
avail, and hope of recovery had been
abandoned more than a week prior
to his demise. Mr. N. E. Hylander and
Mrs. Anna Peterson of Portland, Oregon,
father and sister of deceased, arrived
Saturday and were here when the end came.

Funeral services are being held
this afternoon from the Methodist
church. Rev. E. B. Service has
charge of same. The pall bearers
are M. L. Wheeler, Fred Holm, Wm.
Swanbro, Millard Howard and Wm.
Neely. Interment will be in Oak
Knoll cemetery.

Erick E. Hylander was born at
Geflebanjlan, Helsingland, Sweden,
July 23, 1882, so at the time of his
death was 32 years. 1 month and 16
days old. He came to America with
his parents in the year of 1892, and
they located near Anoka. In the year
of 1895 his parents came to Princeton
and Erick accompanied them. He has
resided here continuously since that
time, aside from a few years passed
at Brainerd, where he was associated
with E. Mark in the horse business.
In the year of 1903 he was united in
marriage to Miss Elizabeth Woodman
of this village, and one son Robert
Clair was born to them. Besides the
widow and son, he is survived by his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. N. E. Hylander
of Port-land, Oregon, and three sisters.
The sisters are Mrs. Mary Paulson
of Minneapolis, Mrs. Gust Carlson of
Montana, and Mrs. Anna Peterson of
Portland, Oregon.

Erick Hylander was a man possessed
of those qualities that earn the
respect of all. He had a likeable
disposition, and readily made
friends.

He was esteemed by all his acquaintances,
and they sincerely mourn his untimely death.
