Betty Florence Elmore, 79, of Wills Point, passed away Monday morning, August 6, 2012, at her residence. Services will be held at a later date. Local arrangements are under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point.

Betty was born June 21, 1933, in the daughter of Roy Dale Looney and Becky Luker Looney. She was raised in Dyersburg, Tennessee. On May 14, 1951, she married James Louis Elmore in Corinth, Mississippi. Betty was employed as a waitress for the Circle Grill in Dallas and later owned & operated Pow Wow Café at Lake Tawakoni. In 1997, she retired from Sue's Rainbow Kitchen in Quinlan. She enjoyed collecting brass figurines. Betty lived in Dallas prior to moving to the Waco Bay area at Lake Tawakoni in 1978.

Proceeded in death by her parents; two sisters, Helen Sabody and Rose Harris; two sons, Roy Elmore and Randy Stevens Elmore; daughter, Laura Jean Elmore; granddaughter, Jammie Dale Baty and a great-grandson, Tristin Horton.

Betty is survived by her husband, James Elmore, of Wills Point; son, James A. Elmore & wife, Sarah Elizabeth, of Wills Point; two daughters, Cynthia Baty, of Wills Point and Deborah Asbridge & husband, James, of Nashville, Tennessee; six grandchildren, Laurie Smith, Douglas Elmore, Sara Booker, James Michael Elmore, Melissa Horton and Jeannie Savage and nine great-grandchildren, Samuel Elmore, Sarah Elmore, Dustin Horton, Katelyn Taylor, Zander Smith, Chandler Smith, Chloe Smith, Cadence Elmore and Darrell Booker.
