Margie died in a car accident on Sept. 11, 1965. The accident was at Columbia Pike and Carlyn Springs Rd. Their car was struck on the passenger side, killing her and her 3-year-old son, Timothy Hays.
She was survived by her husband, Clarence E. Hays, a daughter, Laura Jean Hays, her parents, Joseph and Margaret Hays of Manassas, two sisters, Joan Jones of Falls Church, VA, Carole Lepre of Manassas, VA, and a brother, Joseph Lepre also of Manassas.
