Mrs. Ratliff, Miles City, Dies
MILES CITY – Mrs. Eleanore Ratliff, 81, wife of Quay Ratliff, and a Miles City area
resident most of her life, died Thursday in a Miles City hospital following a long
illness.
She was born at Miles City June 29, 1883, and was married to Bertus Orville Haynes in 1913. Mr. Haynes died in 1936. She was married to Mr. Ratliff in 1948.
Surviving are her husband; two sons, Orville Haynes of Miles City and Delbert Haynes of Kalispell; two daughters, Mrs. Alice Lenore Esslinger of Cheyenne, Wyo.; and
Anita Mae Wirkkala of Brush Prairie, Wash.; a stepson, Clyne Ratliff of Sonnette; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Delores Rolfe of Helena, Mrs. Ocie Barger of Glasgow, and
Mrs. Elsie McDougall of Billings; two sisters, Mrs. George Williams of Miles City and Mrs. Walter Parker of Yucaipa, Calif.; a brother Hiram Gilmore; 21 grandchildren
and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Grave’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Alvin Fischer officiating. Burial will be in Custer County Cemetery.
