Mrs Elizabeth Edwards of Paragonah at Rest.
Paragonah, Utah, Jan. 18, 1917.
Mrs. Elizabeth Edwards, a well known and highly respected resident of this place, passed quietly away on the 10th inst., after a lingering illness of several months duration with heart disease.
The deceased was a native of Wales, but emigrated to this country when still a child. She resided at Greenville, Utah, where she was married to William Richards. Six girls were born to this union, four of whom are still living. Mrs Mary J Thomas of Vernal, Utah, Mrs Katherine Singleton and Eliza Ann Elmer of Milford, and Mrs Emma Edwards, of Paragonah.
After the death of Mr Richards, Mrs Richards was married to E M Edwards and moved to Paragonah, between 25 and 30 years ago. Two sons are the issue of this marriage, David B and E M Edwards, Jr.
Mr Edwards, the husband of the deceased, is still living, though in very poor health. Those left to mourn her loss, in addition to her husband and children, are 37 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held in the ward chapel last Saturday afternoon. The speakers were William Edwards, George A Topham, Alfred W Lund, Bishop Thomas W Jones and Frank Williams, a brother of the deceased.
All of the children were present at the funeral.
Mrs Edwards was born June 25, 1850, making her 66 years and 6 months of age.
