EXTRACT:
Annie I. James, 95, of 21 Kennedy Blvd., Taylor, formerly of West Scranton, died Saturday afternoon at State General Hospital after an illness. She was the widow of Gomer James, who died in 1929.
Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Robert S. and Jane Williams Davies, she was a retired employe (sic) of the Glen Alden Coal Co., a life member of the Bethania Presbyterian Church and the Women of Bethania, a member of the Shopland Club of the Pennsylvania Association of the Blind, and the YWCA Retired Folks Club.
Surviving are a brother, Emlyn Davies, Scranton, and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Monday at 1 p.m. from the Davies & Jones Funeral Chapel, 135 S. Main Ave., with services conducted by Elder John James Jr., Bethania Presbyterian Church. Interment, Washburn Street Cemetery. Viewing, today, 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bethania Presyterian Church Memorial Fund.
