Edgar J Reilly Jr., 59, of 548 Madera Ave., Died of a heart attack at 3:15 p.m. Thursday in North Side Hospital where he had gone to meet his physician because he felt ill. He collapsed at the elevator.
Mr. Reilly was owner and president of the Reilly Heating Co. at 28 ½ Garfield t., which manufactured furnace fittings. He had operated the business 20 years.
Last June, he was elected president of the Youngstown Committee on Alcoholism Inc. He was a member of the Youngstown Club and the Cambium Club.
Mr. Reilly was born June 15, 1904, in Youngstown, the son of Edgar and Mollie Dignan Reilly and lived here all his life. He was a graduate of Rayen School and the University of Michigan.
Besides his wife, the former Helen Henry, whom he married in 1950, Mr. Reilly leaves a daughter, Mrs. Joan Burk, and a son, Robert, both of Ann Arbor, Mich.; two sisters, Mrs. Rita Boyle of Washington D.C., and Mrs. Lois Vahey of Youngstown, and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday in St John's Episcopal Church. Friends may call Sunday evening at the Shriver-Allison North Side Funeral Home.
The family requests that material tributes take the form of contributions to the Youngstown Committee on Alcoholism.
