Mrs. Anna Alek, 72 of MC ! Depot Rd was dead on arrival at Community Hospital East Friday at 12:50pm after being stricken suddenly with a heart attack.
Born Dec 4, 1898 in Vel Barn, Yugoslavia, she was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and the Loyal Circle. Her husband, Ted, died in 1944.
Three daughters survive, Mrs. Helen Graybeal of Salem and Mrs Mildred Burger of Salem and Dorothy Alek of Miami, Florida; two sons, Steve of Painseville and Milan of Salem; and nine grandchildren. A son, George, died in 1963.
Services were held at Stark Memorial with the Rev. George Keister officiating. Burial at Grandview Cemetery.
