Ambrose J. Wollersheim, 91, of Sheboygan, went home to his Lord Tuesday afternoon, August 14, 2012 at home.

Ambrose was born March 15, 1921 in Johnsburg to Anton and Mary (Herman) Wollersheim.

He attended Holy Name Grade School and was a graduate of Sheboygan Central High School, Class of 1939.

While employed at General Box Co. in Sheboygan Ambrose met Esther Bruckschen and on May 5, 1945 they were united in marriage at St. John St. Peter Lutheran Church in Cleveland. He was employed at General Box Co. until his retirement in 1983.

Ambrose and Esther celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary in 2005.

He was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church. For over forty years Ambrose was a member of The Eastern Wisconsin Lutheran Dartball League.

Ambrose enjoyed woodworking, yardwork, reading, traveling, and playing games on the computer. He especially loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Ambrose is survived by four children, David (Mina) Wollersheim of Dale City, VA, Marilyn (Joe) Greuel of Kiel, Mark (Mildred) Wollersheim of Bryan, TX, and Sharon (Cliff) Colpitts of Sheboygan; four grandchildren, Dr. Susan Wollersheim of Arlington, VA, David Wollersheim Jr. of Stafford, VA, April May Hoyt of Bryan, TX, and Jennifer Wollersheim of Bryan, TX; two great-granddaughters, Emily Hoyt of Bryan, TX and Chloe Dienstmann of North Carolina; one sister-in-law, LaVerne Bruckschen of Manitowoc; and other relatives and friends.

In addition to his wife and parents, Ambrose was preceded in death by a dear daughter, Darlene; a granddaughter, Mandy Wollersheim; one sister-in-law Helen (Gilbert) Busse; two brothers-in-law, Clarence (Virginia) Bruckschen and William Bruckschen.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Ballhorn Chapels. Rev. Timothy J. Mech, Pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, will officiate. Private family burial will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
