Auto Accident
The body of Mrs Charles English, formerly, Rhoda Barton, of Paragoonah, who was killed in an auto accident near Salt Lake last week, went through here Sunday morning, accompanied by friends and relatives to Paragoonah, where body was laid to rest.
Mr and Mrs English, with their two children, accompanied by a Mr Weston, were going from their home at Garfield, to Salt Lake City, to visit Mr English' mother. When approaching a railroad crossing they were hit by a D R G train. The machine was completely demolished.
Mrs English although fataly injured, lived four hours after the accident, and was perfectly conscious up to the time of her death at the hospital.
Mr English suffered a number of fractures and was badly bruised. The doctors said the shock he received was equal to a shell shock, and he was moved from the hospital to his mother's home, where he could be kept perfectly quiet...
The young man with the party suffered slight injuries.
Mr and Mrs English formerly lived here. She was a niece of Mr Heber Hanks and a cousin of Mrs Ed Bardsley, who went to Paragoonah to attend the burial.

George Freeman Hanson, of Magna was killed, and Mrs Charles L English, of Garfield, mortally injured and her husband seriously hurt, when the automobile in which they were riding was struck by a train at a crossing near Salt Lake. Mrs English's baby was thrown upon the pilot of the locomotive, but escaped injury.
