Dealie Anne Clark, 90, of Boones Mill, battled numerous different medical conditions during her life and now rests in peace with her heavenly Father. Anne was born in Franklin County August 5, 1921 and lived in the area all of her life. She was the daughter of the late John R. and Sallie W. Foley Adkins.
Anne was the assistant manager of the lunch counter at S.H. Kress, retiring after 30 years of service. She was a member of Lamplight Baptist Church and was a Sunday school teacher. Anne enjoyed crocheting and sewing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Roy Adkins and is survived by her husband of 68 years, Roy J. Clark; sons and daughters-in-law, James and Margaret Tucker of Asheville, North Carolina, Roy James and Barbara Clark of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Jerry and Wanda Clark of Calloway, and Carlton and Denise Clark of Boones Mill; daughter and son-in-law, Dianne and Richard Austin of Boones Mill; twelve grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; and a nephew, Gene Jones of Wytheville.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, 11 a.m. at Lotz Funeral Home, 1001 Franklin Road, Roanoke with Pastor Jeff Gardner officiating. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, from 6 to 8 p.m..
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Lamplight Baptist Church Building Fund, 4307 Rock Garden Lane, Roanoke, Virginia 24018.
