Mrs. Jemima Oldham Dies March 17

Jemima D. Oldham, 75 died at 4:10 p.m. Thursday at the Shahan nursing home after an extended illness.

She was born January 28, 1874, and was married September 12, 1894, to James S. Oldham, who died July 18, 1924. They were both lifelong residents of the Eddyville community. Mr. Oldham was a farmer, a pioneer motion picture operator and also ran a general store here.

Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Lester Bean of Cedar Rapids; two sons, Leslie Oldham of Grinnell and George of Burlington, and a brother, J.R. Davidson of Eddyville and several grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Congregational church, the Rev. Frank E. Henry was in charge. Burial was made in the Highland cemetery.
