Grant Snyder, 74, a farmer living northwest of town, died at his home Thursday morning after a three month's illness. He was born in Clinton county, December 24, 1868, the son of Levi and Maryetta Snyder. On May 10, 1890, he was married to Nancy Ashby, who survives.

Mr. Snyder was a member of the Methodist church, serving as church trustee for several years. Survivors besides his wife are three daughters: Edith, at home; Mrs. Fern Waters and Mrs. Olga Heaston, both of Fort Wayne; three brothers: Earl of Frankfort, Alvin of Lafayette and Walter of Charlotte, Mich.; three sisters: Mrs. William Jones and Mrs. Elston Patton of Rossville and Mrs. Fred Landis of Lafayette, and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the L. E. Moore & Son funeral home, with the Rev. J. S. White officiating. Burial was in Rossville cemetery.
