NOTE regarding the surname: Her father's German surname was originally DAMRAU, but he used DAMROW in his kids' birth records. Most if not all of these kids used DEMROW instead of DAMROW in their later years, according to the later records. DAMROW is seen in Martha's birth record and 1910 and 1920 Censuses. Gottfried was the only one who anglicized his surname, his parents and brothers and their offspring all kept the DAMRAU surname. (This surname was also written and mis-transcribed in numerous ways, it's just unbelievable).

Martha DAMROW was the daughter of Gottfried DAMRAU and Malinda BADGEROW.

Martha DAMRAU (yes, the marriage record clearly says Damrau) married Hamilton Philemon (or Philemon Hamilton?) WRIGHT on 11 Jan 1922 in Sandusky, Sanilac Co., Michigan.

They had the following children:
Irene WRIGHT (1922– )
Beulah M "Boots" WRIGHT Caswell Loope Thomsen (1924–2009)
Shirley Marie "Shirl" WRIGHT Cycholl (1926-2002)
Keith WRIGHT (1929–2009)
Erdeen WRIGHT (1932 – )

Shirl was sent to live with her Aunt Ada and William Bond (her father Phil's sister Ada) sometime after 1930 for economic reasons. Another niece also was sent to live with them, Elizabeth Wright, which is Shirl's cousin. (See 1940 Census).

Beulah "Boots" was sent to live in her grandparents for a while.

Phil died in 1945. Martha remarried to Arthur Edward INNIS in 1950.
