Dorothy was a beautiful, talented and intelligent woman with a wonderful sense of style. She and her husband took lessons and loved to dance later in life. She was a perfectionist in the art of sewing, making everything from clothes for her daughters' tiny dolls to a wedding gown. She loved her daily devotionals and reading her Bible. She was a longtime member of Central Baptist Church.

She is survived by her loving family including daughter, Janet Lewis Majors and sister, Mildred Marshall. Known as Mimi to her grandchildren, she is survived by granddaughters, Stacy Jenkins Waldrup and Amy Jenkins Tyler (and husband Hank), and grandson Chuck Jones. Visitation is scheduled from 2 to 3 p.m., one hour prior to service on Sunday, Aug. 19, 2012, at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway in Tyler.
