Vivian was the daughter of Harry W. and Edna M. Dorsey Leas.


Vivian Hazlett Baker, 88, passed away May 28, 2008.

Vivian was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Akron, and a graduate of North High School. She retired after 20 years from the Rex Humbard Cathedral of Tomorrow. She was the former Vivian Marie Leas.

Vivian was preceded in death by her first husband of 24 years, Rodney Browning Hazlett. Her second husband of many years was Paul Eugene Baker. She will be greatly missed by daughter, Linda Hazlett Nicodemus; son-in-law, Larry; son, Craig Hazlett; daughter-in-law, Nancy; grandsons, Eric (Kim) Nicodemus, Kyle (Kim) Hazlett; granddaughters, Kimberly (Chris) Gillespie, Kari Marie Hazlett; great-grandchildren, Alex and Jenna Nicodemus, Kendall and Chase Gillepsie.

Services will take place Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Billow FALLS Chapel 1907 23rd St., with the Rev. Ed Holland officiating. Internment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call one hour prior to service time on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Akron, 1670 Shatto Avenue, Akron, Ohio 44313.
