Funeral services for Joe L. McClure, 77, of Victoria, who died Saturday in a local hospital following a long illness, will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Church of the Lazarene.
The Rev. Tom Hudgins will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.
The body will lie in state at Colonial Funera Home until 8 a.m. Tuesday when it will be taken to the church for services.
Military graveside services will be held under the leadership of VFW Post 4146 and Catholic War Veterans of Victoria.
A Purple Heart veteran of World War II, he participated in the African Campaign and the Italian campaign, and had been awarded three battle stars. He was a member of VFW and Catholic War Veterans.
He was born May 7, 1906, at Weatherford, Texas, and was a retired motel clerk. He was the son of the late James D. and Mary Jones McClure.
Survivors include a daughter, Jackie McClure; and two sons, Michael McClure and Ryan McClure, all of Victoria.
